Edgar's Accident

Thank goodness he was wearing his helmet.

I can't describe how horrible Edgar's motorcycle accident was. The hospital was terrible with lack of care and I was getting more and more angry. A doctor didn't really look at him until 24 hours after we entered the hospital. Even then it was poor quality. He fractured his collarbone in two places and probably should have had surgery, but didn't. They didn't even have a sling for him so I had to make a temporary one out of a towel until I could find a proper one. It was a terrible way to start the Christmas season.

Election Day

With the government being torn apart with Presidente Zelaya ousted out of office, it was nice to see that elections took place and some order brought back to the country.

Our election BBQ and staying up late to watch the results.

Dia del Amor Y Amistad (Valentine's Day Fair)

Our school puts on a fair for the students. It's full of food, games and lots of fun.
I was the first one to have wet sponges thrown at my face. The students loved it.

You could pay to put your friend in Jail. If you go to jail you have to pay to get out. Sounds silly, but the students love it. They really love putting teachers in there.
I spent the rest of the day painting so many spider man faces, I don't even want to think how many I did.

One of my students bought me rose, probably hoping I would pass him in his classes. It's a nice bribe .

Edgar's Project

Edgar spent two days putting this together. Now the truck will be safe from the sun and rain.

Visiting Tia

We took a two hour drive out into the country just to visit Edgar's aunt. She was so sweet and I loved her shirt.
