Happy Birthday Jonathan

It was my great nephew's first birthday. It was a fun party with family, friends, pinata and a cake. Happy birthday kid!!!!! (they always stick your face in your birthday cake, but the little kids really don't like it)

The Bites

When I say that I get a lot of bites, I mean that I get A LOT of bites. This is just one leg!

My random Husband

I come home and it seems that my husband is always doing something new. First he decided that he wanted a ceiling in the hallway.

Another day when I got home, this is what I saw. Edgar decided to cut off half of the tree. I have no idea how he did it, but it was a mess to clean up.

The storm

The rain just kept coming and coming. I didn't start to worry until the water in the street started coming over our sidewalk and the family said they had never seen rain like this before. The emergency vehicles were everywhere trying to save people and their belongings. We turned on the tv to our local station. They were having people call in with their address, asking for help and the station would ask anyone with a truck to get out and help people. It really was a scary night!!!
Edgar and I walked down to this area the night before. The water was past our waist. They had backhoes trying to dig trenches to let the water drain into the river. This is a picuter of the next morning.

One of the reasons for the floods is that people throw their trash everywhere and it clogs the draining canals. I truly hate the garbage here. People just don't care about the environment.

We found many car wash places trying to wash people's furniture after the storm.

This man was trying to save his banana trees.

Scary enough this bridge is still here and it's a frightening experience to walk across it

Fun in the Rain

I needed to shave my legs and wash up a bit but it was raining to hard to get to the bathroom so I did it in the hallway with the rain from the gutter.

Here I am standing in our street, this was the first night that the flooding started to happen in our town. Just down the road people's homes were full of water and they lost everything.

And this is Edgar letting the water spash, from the cars racing down the street, into our home.
