Honduras Coup

Not so sure about how I feel about the coup. I agree that Presidente Zelaya was making some selfish decisions to change the constitution so he could run a second term, even after the congress voted against it. I think that congress got angry and upset with his actions but chose the wrong way to handle it. I'm mostly sad that my heart is growing in Honduras and it is painting a bad picture to the world right now. Thank goodness that I have a loving family, great friends, and the best husband anyone could have. I hope that the political fight will not affect me living in Honduras!

How the United States Sees the World

Confessions: Now that I have lived outside the United States (not as a missionary) I can see why the world really doesn't like the U.S. I see a lot of selfishness and pride. I feel like people are complaining all the time about things that can never bring happiness. I know that happiness is found within the love of family and friends. I wouldn't trade my experiences in Honduras for anything, and yes I do wash my clothes by hand.
