Our new place

Needless to say, I wish that I had done the packing for our move. Edgar just took everything, threw it in the truck, and I had to put everything back. Oh, menWe have many animals on our street, bunnies and horses. I have even heard pigs going by at night. No idea where they are coming from.

You see that, it's our well. We have water all the time and it is heaven!

This made me cry with joy. It was a bathroom, inside, 5 steps from my bed.

I have a kitchen that I can cook in now. Yet another big blessing.
Everyone wants to know how I wash my clothes. This is it. It's our pila. You fill it full of water and then use the washboard to clean the clothes. Yes they get clean, and I get a workout for free.

The Move

Edgar and I had talked about moving into our own place. It was getting hard for me to live with the in-laws and I needed a kitchen and a place I could keep clean. We found a place closer to school. I came home on a Thursday night to see this happening. When Edgar is ready to do something he doesn't wait. We moved everything within a few hours.

The baby

My coworker, Yadria, had her christmas baby. So cute!

The motorcycle

My husband really wanted a motorcycle and I finally caved in. It is really nice though to have a ride when we need it.

Roatan

It was a wonderful trip. And we will be going back.

We stayed at the Coconut Tree Cabins, mostly we were just excited to take hot water showers.

The view from our cabin.

Half Moon Bay

My first live crab I have ever seen.

We went snorkling, of course I couldn't take pictures, but trust me it was amazing.

We went sea kayaking, it turned out to be scary as my husband has never been in one before.

The sun would be out for most of the day, then it would rain and it would really rain hard for about an hour. The sun would then come back out again.

Looking at all of the beautiful things, not being able to afford any of it. Cheep for American dollars, crazy expensive for Honduras Lemps.

The cabin

We did rent a scooter and spent the day traveling around the whole island.

Juticalpa, Roatan is in the center of the island. I thought it was pretty funny.

Getting back, we had to leave at 4:45 am to get a place in line for the ferry. A bit early for me!

To Roatan

3 hour bus ride to Tegus. Three hours to this city for a break. Another 3 hours to San Pedro Sula a 6 hour layover and another 2 1/2 hours to La Ceiba. Needless to say it was a long time on a bus.

San Pedro Mall

Really cool painted bus, wish we could be on that one.

Waitin for the ferry. It was a beautiful day and ride over. Just about 2 hours to the island.
