Our Hike to the Cave

These are the ants you see on T.V. that are carrying the leafs around. It was fun to watch them.

The rocks come from the river just like this, with all the different colors.

Can you see across the river to the other side? Neither can I.

The found bones in the cave that date back 2,000 bc. The bones are not covered yet so no people can see them, but here is a picutre of some.

These clay bowls are from the Mayans. They also were found in the caves.

This cute dog just kept following us around.

I took a picture of the bathroom because not only were they clean but they had toilet paper!!!! (no other bathroom I have been in here has toilet paper)

This is the eating joint, but they built it around this rock.

Here I am on the back porch.

Another Visitor

I was on my way to the bathroom when I saw this little guy hopping down the hallway. The kids were terrified of him, it was funny.

The Caves

I realize this picture is out of order, but here is Edgar trying the water from the cave. It's probaby the safest water I've had to drink here. I also idea why I'm getting an underline here.

We spent a day to go to the cave by Catacamus. It was a long adventure to get there and get home. It included buses, walking for an hour and a hitch hike. The power was off in the city and surrounding areas so we went through the caves with flashlights. It was a great experience!

Look carefuly and you can see the bats flying and their eyes shining from the holes.

Our guide said that explorers went back for three hours in this tunnel and couldn't find the end of it. I would love to venture back.

Edgar thought that these were funny because they reminded him of a certain part on a woman.

It was right at this moment when the battery died on my camera!

Suprises

I came through the front door and what did I see,
A big leafy salad on the table for me.
Edgar had made me such a nice surprise,
Big crunchy green right before my eyes.
I could take a plate full and eat it all up.
Finish with Gatoraide in my cup.
Was it really so, could it really be?
Yes a green crispy salad on the table for me.
(Edgar makes a lot of salads for me because everything else makes me sick)
Here are my shirts for school. 500 Lemps total!!!

I heard the wack of the machete, Edgar was cutting down the bananas from the tree. YUM

Highland

I was told about this resturant that I had to try. Honestly it was wonderful. Edgar and I ordered Hawaiian Pizza and it was amazing, only 180 L. (a bit pricy, but worth it) We talked to the owner after and he had been a chef in Boston for 8 years. He learned how to cook all the Italian food and brought his gift here for us to enjoy. Next time we go it's Buffalo Wings and Ceaser Salad.
